Hi

I had a power failure during a backup and the two tapes that were being
backed up onto have now labelled themselves full when they are actually less
than 5% full. I'm sure i can reset their status by changing something in one
of the tape files in the arkeia database but which one and what to i was
hoping one of you guys would know.

Thanks in advance.

cd /opt/arkeia/server/dbase/f3tape

grep -R NAME_OF_TAPE *

vi tpdir_RESULT_OF_GREP/tp_RESULT_OF_GREP.lst

change:
ST_CONTENT "TPSTC_FULL"

to

ST_CONTENT "TPSTC_INUSE"

BUT!!!!

SEG_END should have a valid value!!
Do you know where the last segment was written?

I would recommend to recycle tose tapes.

Hi

I had a problem after a power cut and the library came up with errors when i tried to run a backup. I have doen some work on the arkeia files and nowI only get then error "Can't find any available tape foe Vault1". I have tapes with space and have added new tapes to the Pool, but same error. I have checked in the 'tapename'.lst files and it shows them as either empty or partially used. Why can Arkeia not find these tapes?

Thanks

Tom Akerman
